Description

The Industrial Mechanic Millwright works on industrial machinery, mechanical equipment, and components, including mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, fuel, lubrication, cooling and exhaust systems, and pumps, fans, tanks, conveyors, presses, generators, and pneumatic and hydraulic controls.

Night shift premium pay of $200 per week once worked both weekends

Education Requirements

High school diploma/ certificate
Millwright Certificate

Desired Experience

Millwright: 1 year (preferred)
Industrial mechanic: 1 year (preferred)

Responsabilities

- Consult manufacturer's manuals, schematic drawings and blueprints to determine tests and maintenance procedures for instruments used for measuring and controlling flow, level, pressure, temperature, chemical composition and other variables in manufacturing and processing

- Inspect and test operation of instruments and systems to diagnose faults using pneumatic, electrical and electronic testing devices and precision measuring instruments

- Install, align, dismantle and move stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment, such as pumps, fans, tanks, conveyors, furnaces and generators according to layout plans using hand and power tools and welding equipment

- Repair and adjust system components, such as sensors, transmitters or remove and replace defective parts

- Install, Inspect, examine, troubleshoot and maintain machinery and equipment like power transmission, vacuum, hydraulic and pneumatic systems to detect and investigate irregularities and malfunctions, repair or replace defective parts

- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance work and complete test and maintenance reports through the CMMS

- Perform corrective repairs on packaging equipment and ensure mechanical breakdowns of packaging equipment are handled promptly to sustain production

- Install control and measurement instruments on existing and new plant equipment and processes

- Consult with and advise process operators.

- Operate hoisting and lifting devices such as cranes, jacks and tractors to position machinery and parts during the installation, set-up and repair of machinery

- Operate machine tools such as lathes and grinders to fabricate parts required during overhaul, maintenance or set-up of machinery

- Clean, lubricate and perform other routine maintenance work on machinery

- Respect Good manufacturing practices and food industry regulations

Work Hours

Five days per week
5pm-4am
