Description

  • In The position will ask you to perform designer duties, sales, pricing, as well as performing various coordinating tasks, scheduling, and managing projects to a timely completion within budget.

Customer service and attention to detail are highly required, you will be interacting with clients, office team members, providers, and various construction trades.

Education Requirements

Training and Education requirements:
Secondary School required
Diploma in Interior design or equivalent
Business Administration or Project Management Certificate and asset or equivalent experience
Microsoft Office Training or extensive experience working with it

Desired Experience

Experience requirements:
Minimum two years of experience as an interior design and sales in Kitchen & Bath industry
Experience in multiple project coordination
Experience in budgeting and financial reports

• Creative design mine, good sketching abilities and presentation skills
• Understanding of construction processes and standards, either through work experience or qualifications
• Outstanding interpersonal skills with clients, work colleagues, suppliers, and trade partners
• Excellent project planning skills and ability to adapt to changing environments to ensure deadlines are met
• Ability to manage multiple projects at one time and work under pressure
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Advance analytical and time management skills
• Excellent listening and communication skills
• Detail-oriented, well-organized, proactive, and solutions-driven when dealing with various projects
• Budgeting and financial knowledge
• Knowledge of the Planit/Cabinet Vision design software is an asset
• Solid computer skills in Microsoft Office: Outlook, Word, Excel,
• Fully bilingual in French and English (oral and in writing)
• A reliable vehicle is a must, as some on-site customer service might be required
• Is constantly learning and brings new ideas to the table

Responsabilities

Responsibilities and Duties:
• Ready to take over project design, either at initial stage, partially or completed and prepare estimates, write proposals, prepare design packages to present to clients and follow-up to close sale
• Complete design and material selections for already sold or new projects
• Build lasting relationships with clients by attentively seeking information, following up on inquiries and purchases
• Responsible for the orders, confirmations, and appropriate follow-ups, working with the team to bring the project to completion in a timely manner
• Liaise with the different trades and the clients for smooth progress
• Developing a plan of work and managing the budget for each project to make sure it is completed efficiently and on time
• Continuous up-date of Active Files and Project Production Schedule to ensure information is always available to all team members
• Handling incoming calls and follow ups, keeping paper files up to date
• Create project financial wrap-up and invoices
• Perform customer satisfaction inquiries upon job completion

Work Hours

Full time, Permanent
Monday to Friday – 8hr shift daytime (may alternate for Saturday Showroom duty)
May be required to work overtime to meet deadlines
