Description

Main duties and responsibilities

The program coordinator will be responsible for supervising the entire program (depending on the location) as well as ensuring the smooth running of the programming. Under the supervision of the general management/chief coordinator, the employee performs the tasks as described below including participating in programming meetings, in addition to performing certain related tasks in order to maintain proper functioning of our organization’s program and services.

Ensure the quality of services delivered during program sessions.
Listen to the facilitators
Coordinate sessions.
Participate in the facilitator hiring process.
Follow up with general management.
Annual report and evaluations.
Complete incident reports.
Communicate with parents (email, telephone and verbal) any important information.
Organize program activities with the support of facilitators.
Management of volunteers present on site
Answer parents' questions
Train, guide and support facilitators.

Knowledge, skills and abilities

Knowledge of leadership principles
Knowledge of human resources management such as employee supervision
Knowledge of project management
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Interpersonal skills
Ability to adapt quickly and take on additional tasks
Demonstrate a great ability to learn on the job

Be bilingual and punctual

Education Requirements

Post-secondary studies in progress or completed.

Studies in education or special education.

Studies in a related field.

Desired Experience

Experience with individuals with special needs.

Experience with adolescents and adults with autism or special needs.

CPR training.
