Industrial Trades Initiation Training Program (French training)

The purpose of this training is to introduce participants to various basic components related to industrial trades in order to get a job in one of the targeted fields.

May 2021 – French training in Hawkesbury

13-week full-time training (236 hours). Training will be given in-person and virtually.

  • Machining
  • Introduction to digital control
  • Welding and cutting processes
  • Prevention and tools
  • Autocad
  • Reading and realization of plans
  • Forklift training
  • Basic Health and Safety Course

Training support

  • Essential Skills Assessment
  • Psychometric tests
  • Experimentation of professions through the Career Exploration Virtual Laboratory
  • Job Search Workshops
  • Familiarization visits to industrial employers in the region
  • Individual support for work clothes, safety boots, etc. as required.
