Partnerships with local businesses will secure more than 200 jobs
The Ontario Government recently announced that it is investing in four local buinesses in Eastern Ontario through the Eastern Ontario Development Fund. This initiative will allow the creation of 76 jobs and the retaining of 137 others in our region.
Companies benefitting from these investments are :
- Dynamo Industries - manufacturer of playground and sports equipement for parks; located in Rockland - the funding will allow the company to upgrade its' facilities and increase its production capacity. This will allow for the creation of 10 jobs and maintaining of 38 others on a 4-year period.
- Groupe TIF - manufacturer and distributor of custom truck bodies; located in Vars - funding will allow for the building of a new factory and ensure the creation of 16 jobs and retaining of 40 jobs for over four years.
- Elpa - machining and welding shop; located in l'Orignal - the funding will support the purchase of new machines and associated sofware, specialized tools and training and upgrades to the facility. The project will create 10 jobs and retain 24 jobs for more than three years.
- Lanthier Bakery - manufacturer of bread products serving Ontario and Quebec; located in Alexandria - the investment will allow the company to expand and buy new equipment. Through this initiative, creation of 40 jobs and maintaining of 35 others for a period of three and a half years.
