750 jobs up for grabs at march 19 job fair
HAWKESBURY - Talk about work ! There will be 750 jobs to be filled at the upcoming Job Fair taking place on Saturday, March 19 at École secondaire cathoilique régionale de Hawkesbury (ÉSCRH) from 10 AM to 3 PM. Admission is free to this fifth edition of the Job Fair, organized by the Employment Services Centre of Prescott-Russell.
"Again this year, we are pleased to offer the population of Prescott-Russell and surrounding areas a large amount of jobs in very diversified industries," said André Roy, Executive Director for the Employment Services Centre.
"Job seekers can meet employers who will be present along with the positions they have to fill through their employment card on the Job Fair website. And, to better prepare oneself for the fair, the Centre reminds local job seekers that its' Employment Counsellors and Resoucre Centres are available to support them in their preparation. One simply needs to visite our offices and ask for the necessary help," added Roy.
Industries representated at the CSEPR Job Fair this year include, among others, manufacturing, sales and customer service, finance, education, health care and government. As for positions available, they are diversified and include recruiting of police officers, nurses, personal support workers, caseworkers and specialized and early childhood educators. On the professional level, positions include sales and customer service representatives, financial advisors, accountants, receptionnists and different types of agents. Specialized trade workers are also needed, including : tinsmiths, carpenters, millwrights and cooks. Broader positions include laborers, general workers, machine operators, along with clerks and attendants.

Employment Services Centre (CSEPR) is a not-for-profit corporation with three offices serving Prescott-Russell. Providing all employment services for the region, it is funded by the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities for the Employment Ontario program, as well as the Ministry of Community and Social Services for the Ontario Disability Support Porgram, and gets funding for the Ontario Works program from the United Counties of Prescott-Russell.
