Job Fair returns March 18 and March 25

HAWKESBURY - The Employment Services Centre (CSEPR) Job Fair will return on March 18 in Prescott-Russell. The sixth annual edition will take place on Saturday, March 18 at École secondaire catholique régionale de Hawkesbury (ÉSCRH) in Hawkesbury and on March 25, 2017 at the River Rock Inn in Rockland. The 2017 edition is made possible in part through the contribution of the following partners : United Counties of  Prescott and Russell, Eastern Ontario Training Board, Compagnie d'Édition André Paquette Inc., the Hawkesbury Industrial and Investment Association, the Entrepreneurial Academy and the Cities of Hawkesbury and Rockland.

"This year, as to maximize chances of good matches, further to having a minimum of 25 employers present at each event, we also organized some free preparation workshops for job seekers that will be held two weeks prior to the event. These workshops aim at giving tips and tricks to job seekers on the preparation they should make before the event, but also what to do during and after the fair. The ultimate goal of these workshops is to supply job seekers with tools to help them stand out from the crowd during the event, and thus, optimize their chances at getting an interview and a job," concluded Roy.

For participating employers, the Job Fair is a unique opportunity to fill their positions, but it's also an exceptional chance at collecting résumés which can be used later to fill other positions in their company. Furthermore, the vast promotional campaign organized by the Centre offers undeniable visibility to employers taking part in the event.

Again this year, a section of the website will be dedicated to the Job Fair, and will be activated at the end of January 2017. This will allow both job seekers and employers to get information and updates regarding the event: from which companies will be present at the fair, to what positions are available, to registering to the preparation workshops, to tips and tricks for employers to optimize their presence at the fair - every detail will be available online. By the end of January, you can visit the website regularly to stay informed. The website address is : csepr.ca/foire-emploi.

The Centre invites all employers interested in taking part in the event to contact its Job Developers to book their space. To do so, they should call Murielle Huneault Pilon, Job Developer for the Prescott area at 613.632.0179 or for the Russell area, France Gareau, Placement Agent at 613.446.4189.
